Giclee Watercolors reproduce with accurate texture and technique. Pastel originals can be reproduced on watercolor paper for a look that is hard to tell from the original, or they can be reproduced on canvas for a totally different feel. And we've heard many times from our customers that even they have a hard time telling a canvas giclée of their original oil apart from the painting itself. Especially if the print has been embellished with brush strokes.

Fine Art Smooth Matte Watercolor Paper

The latest addition to our fine art ink media is a vibrant, smooth watercolor paper. Similar in weight to our textured paper, the smooth surface of this paper provides saturated colors and rich blacks while maintaining the subtle nuances in your images. Our extensive testing shows this paper to be equally at home with both black and white and color reproductions.

Fine Print uses pigmented inks, artist quality watercolor paper and canvas, and the very latest equipment to produce giclées which are not only faithful to the original but extremely archival. When you present a giclée edition produced by Fine Print to your collectors, you can rest assured that you are offering them the very finest reproductions available today.

1.) Determine the size of the finished print(s) plus borders. We recommend at list two inches on all four sides if you plan on stretching your canvas giclée.
2.) Multiply length by width to give you the total square inches.
3.) Finally, multiply this amount by the square inch prices shown below. On reorders, two images may be combined to get into the next lower price category. Math impaired? Don't worry - we'll help you with the calculations.

Getting originals ready for printing
Before we can create a giclée print, we must have a color worked digital file. Whether you are a traditional painter who knows nothing about computers, a digital artist who uses the computer for creative expression or somewhere in between, Fine Print Imaging has a service for you to get ready to produce your giclée edition.

Original artwork captured by our digital camera
Your artwork up to 40x60 is photographed with our high resolution digital camera system. The price includes basic color work and a proof.

Originals 20x24 or smaller:

Orginals larger than 20x24:

Premier Scan from your film:
Send us your 35mm slides, larger transparencies (up to 8x10) and negatives. We will drum scan your film, perform basic clean up and color work, remove any scratches and print a proof on either watercolor paper or canvas.

Customer supplied ready to print digital files:
You may send us your own color-worked digital files for giclée printing. Please contact us in advance to ensure proper formatting. We will print from the file you provide us without color adjustments or testing.

Customer supplied digital files requiring color work:
You may send us your own digital file for printing and ask us to match a provided guide print. We will color work the file to get as close to your guide as possible.
