What if I don’t like my prints?

Well, we hope that never happens, but dealing with something as subjective as the perception of colours and density, it’s bound to happen once and awhile. Here are some suggestions to help minimize that occurrence and info on how to handle it if it does.

  • Always!!! Always order a smaller print of a new image (a proof) prior to ordering a larger print or prints in quantity.
  • Make sure your monitor is properly calibrated and that you use “Soft-Proofing” for each substrate (paper) you plan to print on. If you don’t, you have just doubled your chance of not getting the print that you were hoping for. Go here to learn more.
  • Realize that not all colours reproduce the same on all papers and canvases. Some colours are “out of gamut” on certain papers and reproduce really well on others. You can expect a really close match, but rarely can one achieve perfection.
  • Now… if you’ve done all of the above and still don’t like your prints, call us to discuss options – 1-800-777-1141. Remember, you can almost always avoid this situation by ordering a smaller print prior to ordering a larger one. And this is likely the first question we’ll ask you. Did you order a smaller print (a proof print)?
