Custom Packaging Sleeves
Packaging sleeves are printed paperboard wraps, open at both ends, that slide over a box, tray or product. A printed sleeve over a plain box gives you branded packaging for less than printing the whole box, and makes seasonal or limited-edition designs easy.

Why brands use sleeves
A sleeve separates the expensive part (printing) from the box. Stock up on plain boxes or trays, and print short runs of sleeves for each product, flavor or season. The sleeve slides off to reveal the box, which adds a small unboxing moment.
Full sleeve or belly band?
A full sleeve covers the top, bottom and two sides of the box, leaving only the ends showing. A belly band is a narrow strip around the middle that holds a lid on and carries the label. Bands use less board; full sleeves give more print area.
Getting the fit right
Measure the outside of the box or tray the sleeve goes over, not the product inside. A sleeve needs a small allowance, typically about 1–2 mm on width and depth for board thickness, so it slides on firmly without crushing the box. Send a sample box if you can; fit is easier to confirm on a real item.

Questions about custom packaging sleeves
What is a packaging sleeve?
A printed paperboard wrap, open at both ends, that slides over a box, tray or product.
What size should a sleeve be?
Measure the outside of the box it covers and allow about 1–2 mm on width and depth so it slides on firmly. Enter the size in the quote form.
Can I print the inside of a sleeve?
Yes. Choose printing on both sides.
Can sleeves have a window?
Yes. A die-cut window shows the box or product underneath.
Do you also supply the plain boxes?
For a plain box and printed sleeve together, include both parts in the quote and give the assembled box's outside dimensions. The sleeve and underlying box must be specified separately.
