Custom boxes
Custom Product Boxes
Custom product boxes are printed paperboard cartons, often called folding cartons or retail boxes, that hold one product on a shelf and sell it from there. They carry your branding, product details and barcode, and take finishes such as foil, spot UV and windows well.

What goes on a product box
A retail box has a few seconds to explain itself, so plan each panel before designing. The front panel sells; the sides and back inform.
| Panel | Content |
|---|---|
| Front | Brand, product name, one key benefit, product image or window |
| Sides | Variant or shade, size or net quantity |
| Back | Description, directions, ingredients or specifications, barcode |
| Top or end | Product name, so it reads when stacked |
| Inside | Optional message or pattern |
Making a box stand out on the shelf
Finishes add contrast where it counts. Matte lamination with spot UV on the logo creates a gloss-against-matte highlight; hot foil adds metallic detail; embossing adds a raised logo you can feel; a die-cut window shows the product itself.
Choosing a carton style
The quote form lists 21 carton styles, from tuck end and lock bottom cartons to trays, sleeves, gable and display boxes. For most single products, a tuck end box is the simplest choice; heavier products need a lock or auto bottom; gift sets often use a tray with a sleeve.

Questions about custom product boxes
What's the difference between a product box and a folding carton?
None in practice. Folding carton is the industry term for a printed paperboard box; product box describes how it's used.
Can I add a barcode to my product box?
Yes. Supply the barcode number or artwork and place it on the back or base with a clear margin.
Can product boxes have a window?
Yes. A die-cut window, with or without clear film, can be added to most styles.
Which finish looks most premium?
Matte lamination with spot UV or foil on the logo is a popular premium combination. Soft-touch lamination adds a velvet feel.
Can I order several designs in one order?
Yes. Enter the number of designs in the quote form; each design is priced in the reply.
