Hang tags

Circle Hang Tags

Circle hang tags are round tags, 1.97 in (50 mm) across by default, that read like a seal or badge. Their compact shape suits logo-led brands and small products, and the hole sits at the top center so the tag hangs straight.

When a round tag works best

Choose a circle when the logo is the message. A round tag frames a circular or square mark naturally, looks deliberate on round products such as candles, jars and bottles, and feels more like a badge than a label.

If you need several lines of text, a price and a barcode, a rectangle is more practical: a circle loses usable space in its corners.

Laying out circular artwork

Design inside a safe circle about 0.12 in smaller than the cut line on every side, and extend background color past the cut line as bleed. Curved text around the edge works well; keep it inside the safe circle.

Leave about 0.2 in clear around the hole at the top center, or move the logo down so the string doesn't cross it.

    Sizes

The default diameter is 1.97 in (50 mm), large enough for a logo and a short line. A large circle gives more room for a two-line message or a QR code. Any diameter from about 1 to 6 in can be set in the custom tag builder.

    Questions about circle hang tags

What size is a circle hang tag?

1.97 in (50 mm) across by default. Larger circles and custom diameters from about 1 to 6 in are available in the tag builder.

Where is the hole on a round tag?

At the top center, about 0.2 in from the edge, so the tag hangs straight.

Can round tags fit a barcode?

A 1.97 in circle is tight for a barcode. Use a large circle or put a QR code on the back instead.

Do round tags cost more than rectangles?

Prices are set per format; compare the circle tag price table above with the standard tag page.

Can I add foil to a round tag?

Yes. Gold, silver, red, blue or green hot foil works well on a circular logo.
