Hang tags

Furniture Tags

Furniture tags are sturdy hang tags, 1.97 × 2.95 in (50 × 75 mm) by default, that carry a model name, dimensions, materials and price in a showroom or store. They hang from a handle, leg or knob and need to stay flat and legible through months of handling.

What to put on a furniture tag

Shoppers read a furniture tag to decide whether the piece fits their room and budget, so lead with the facts they need.

  • Model or collection name
  • Overall dimensions (W × D × H) in inches and centimeters
  • Main materials and finish
  • Price, or a space to write it
  • A QR code linking to fabrics, sizes or care

Built to last in a showroom

Showroom tags are handled daily and stay out for months. Heavier board from 600 to 1200 gsm stays flat, matte lamination resists finger marks, and a metal eyelet stops the hole tearing. For tags that are rewritten often, choose uncoated card instead of lamination.

    Attaching tags without marking furniture

Use a soft attachment on finished surfaces: rope string or an elastic loop around a handle, knob or chair leg. Avoid adhesive or wire, which can mark wood, leather and lacquer.

    Questions about furniture tags

What size is a furniture tag?

    1.97 × 2.95 in (50 × 75 mm) by default. Larger tags, such as 3.94 × 2.36 in, suit detailed specifications.

Can I write prices on furniture tags?

Yes, on uncoated or kraft card. Laminated tags resist ink, so print the price instead.

Can I add a QR code?

Yes. Keep it at least 0.8 in square with a clear margin so it scans from a phone.

    Which card is most durable?

Laminated board from 900 to 1200 gsm with matte lamination and a metal eyelet.

How should tags be attached to furniture?

With rope string or an elastic loop around a handle, knob or leg, which won't mark the finish.
